SWAEG ART workshop

Pictures of collage, download video here

2006, Gallery Huoltamo, Tampere, Finland

In a week long workshop we invited people to the gallery to do posters and other pieces of the collage. We also collected old paintings and drawings to be recycled in the collage. After the workshop some of the participants and SWAEG collective installed the collage by staples into a construction site wall downtown Tampere. It stayed there six months.

In the second workshop we moved all equipment from our studio into gallery space and had random jam sessions with people passing. We also invited street musicians to come and take part in the workshop.

Message Workshop

Stills from video

2004 - 2005, NICA, Yangon, Myanmar

Artists Antti Pussinen and Mikko Lipiäinen held a Message workshop with the local youth during their stay in NICA, Yangon; Myanmar. In the workshop we disgussed about methods of messaging and cultural barriers altering meanings of messages. As a part of the workshop, artists and participants made a collective drawing during three days in december 2004. A camera took picture of the drawing and the drawers every 4 minutes. From these pictures we made a video, where you can see a collective picture forming.
